What’s with the Hissy Fit?
If your cat suddenly starts to act in an angry and aggressive way don’t just dismiss it as your cat getting out of the wrong side of the bed. When a normally sedate, cool as a cumber cat suddenly starts to spit, hiss and generally get all hot under the flea collar there must be a very good reason. The only way you’re going to deal with it is to try and establish what it is that’s got your cat’s fur all ruffled. That can take some creative thinking and you need to get into the cat zone.
You should be well versed with your cats normal every day behaviour so first and foremost check out if anything has changed in particular. If he’s not eating as normal investigate if anything is happening in the surrounding area that may be deterring him from nibbling on his favourite dish. Have you moved the bowl? Has someone inadvertently left some rubbish next to it?
If you can’t isolate the problem then it’s likely that your cat isn’t feeling well. Take him to the vets for a check over to make sure and try if you can to check his stools and urine in case there is some form of infection afflicting him.
