We are Siamese if You Please
The Siamese cat is one of the most affectionate and loving cat critters you can bring into your home. They are renowned for their extrovert characters and they just love socializing. They are very loyal to their owners and will follow you like a shadow.
Siamese are more dependent on their owners than other cats. They do not have some of the survival equipment that other cats take for granted. Their coat for example is not good for camouflage and they have poor sight in low lit areas. Their hearing is also less acute.
They adore company so don’t consider one if you are out a lot. You’ll need someone to be with the cat at all times or better still get them a Siamese cat friend. Other cat breeds are possibilities but check with your vet to make sure.
Toys and games are a must for Siamese cats. This will protect your furniture as idle paws turn into scratchy claws.
Siamese cats will not overeat hence their slender physique. If they are apt to leave some food you are feeding them too much. Conversely if they are searching for food you may not be feeding them enough.
Siamese cats are a healthy breed and can live up to 20 years. They are however prone to teeth issues caused by plaque build up. Keep their teeth well cleaned and visit your vet often.
