National Cat Club Show

On Saturday the 29th November 2008 this year’s National Cat Club Show will be held at the Bracknell Leisure Centre in Bracknell, Berkshire.  This yearly event promises to show hundreds of cats all under the same roof and is a Mecca for all cat lovers everywhere.

Anything you ever wanted to see or buy to do with cats is on offer at this show.  The National Cat Club show is being held at the Bracknell Leisure Centre for the first year and the leisure centre is excited to be holding an event with such a long history.

The National Cat Club was founded originally in 1887 by a Mr Harrison-Weir.  Mr Harrison-Weir was the show’s first Show Manager and President.  He was followed by Louis Wain a famous artist of the time who also judged the show.  Louis Wain was also responsible for the show’s logo design which continues to be used today.

This year you can look forward to seeing not only some amazing Pedigree cats in competition but also have the chance to catch up with breeders in the ‘Amazing World of Cat’s’ section.

There’ll be plenty of chances to buy your feline friend a lovely gift at one of the many stalls and there’s a chance to see one of the stars of Blue Peter as their cats will also be on display.
