Give Your Cat Freedom with a Cat Flap
Cat flaps are a marvellous invention allowing both you and your cat some freedom. After years of having a cat flap when I moved to my present home I was without one for a few weeks and really started to appreciate the benefits of having one.
Without a cat flap Tikka requires me to be his footman and servant. I was permanently jumping up and down to let him in and out. Cats love having freedom and access to go in and out when they feel like it in an almost contrary way. Having a cat flap also gave Tikka a sense of security. If he felt threatened outside he could quickly bolt back inside. By choosing a clear perspex flap you give you cat the chance to survey the outside before he tentatively steps out. By using one of the magnetically sealed cat flaps you can prevent any unwanted neighbouring cats from getting in and stealing your cat’s food.
There are a variety of sizes and designs available on the market. They come with easy to follow instructions on fitting them into your door. If you have a pvc door like me, get in touch with the company that fitted the door and often for a charge they will happily come out and fit the cat flap for you.
