Get Insured

When looking into a cat insurance policy it is essential to do your research.  One of the best things you can do for you and your feline friend is to look in detail into the policies available that will protect your cat’s health and your bank balance in the event of injury or illness.  If you choose not to insure your cat and your cat does fall ill or has an accident you will most certainly be faced with a large bill.

You need to consider various factors before you opt for a particular insurance company.  Firstly acknowledge what you financial circumstances are and what can you afford to pay, if you have other cats or pets within the household, the environment within which you live and any specialist veterinary services you may require.  It can also be useful to know what insurance company your vet recommends as this can make things easier when you are completing a claim.

Ensure that you run a comparison not only on cost but on the policy content before you choose.  You need to be 100 per cent sure of what you are getting and how well your cat is protected.  Beware of cat insurance policies that don’t cover older cats for example.
