Cat Whisperers
What are cat whisperers and do they really exist? Well, in very much the same way that you get horse whisperers there are people out there who seem to be able to communicate with cats and attract these strange feline creatures to them. Where most of us try desperately to change our cats from the lone, solitary creatures that they are into cuddly, loving pets, cat whisperers accepts cats for what they truly are. This seems to be the key to their success. They simply understand catty behaviour and allow them to be what they instinctively are.
These days cat whisperers tend to be called cat behaviourists. They are adept at understanding cats and any imbalanced behaviour which is invariably triggered off by their hapless owner. They can spot through what seems to be just a few minutes of observation why a cat is acting aggressively, stalking its owner and rugby tackling them on the stairs, or why another cat has taken to spraying the corners of the house or garden. Its not long before the owner is given a list of do’s and don’ts to avoid upsetting their kitty and within a miraculously short space of time the problem resolves itself. Perhaps these cat behaviourists should be called human behaviourists instead as its plainly us humans that need the treatment!
